Blacksville sisters earn degrees

Two Blacksville area sisters have earned higher education degrees.

Vanessa Renee Chisler earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DMV) from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts-Nevis. 

Vanessa is a 2012 graduate of Clay-Battelle High School and a graduate of Bethany College with a bachelor’s degree in pre-veterinary medicine. She graduated cum laude and with various honors from Ross University.

She returned to the U.S. to complete her clinicals at Texas A&M and is now with Moon Township, Pa., Veterinary Clinic.

Victoria Hope Chisler is a 2016 graduate of Trinity High School, attended Fairmont State University and graduated from West Virginia University in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness management and a minor in equine studies. 

Victoria is a certified therapeutic horseback riding instructor and works with On Eagles Wings’ Therapeutic Horsemanship in Fairmont.

 She is also working toward a master’s degree and is office manager for Reliable Tire Co. in Morgantown.

Vanessa and Victoria are the daughers of Kristal Renee and Van Chisler of Blacksville.
