Do you know a family caregiver that has gone above and beyond for a loved one with a disability? Enter his or her name for the PACE Enterprises Helping Hands Award.

The award is given to a family caregiver whose contribution is vital to the independence and quality of life of a person with a disability. It is given in memory of Brandon Stewart.

In honor of the commitment and hard work of family caregivers of people with disabilities, PACE will host an annual awards program designed to recognize a most exceptional caregiver. This award is intended to pay tribute to an individual for whom compassion is second nature — those who not only provide care to people with developmental disabilities and special needs but who do so with a singular focus on enhancing the quality of life for those in their care.

Nominations will be accepted from peers, family, friends and patients (as well as anyone whose life has been touched) for family caregivers. Nominees from previous years are eligible to be nominated again. The winner will receive a $500 cash award and a commemorative plaque at an socially-distanced awards ceremony Sept. 30. Deadline for submissions is Sept. 22. Online nominations can be made at https://paceenterprises.org/home-2-2-2/.
