Hot Temps Ahead

Those hoping for an escape from 90 degree temperatures will have to wait until the weekend.

According to AccuWeather, the high today will reach 92, with thunderstorms in spots. Then, Thursday and Friday, add two degrees to that for a high both days of 94.

Thursday, expect humidity, to go along with  the heat,  while Friday will be a bit less humid and mostly sunny.

Showers and a thunderstorm are  likely Saturday, and there will be a bit of a reprieve from the heat, with a  high of 84. The weekend will wrap up with some sun, a possible thunderstorm and a high of 85.

In order to stay safe as the temperatures rise, the Centers for Disease Control  and Prevention recommends drinking plenty of water,  wearing sunscreen and light colored clothing.

Also be sure to check in with elderly relatives and neighbors, who are more vulnerable to hot conditions.
