USPS continues to serve the community — safely

The United States Postal Service is committed to delivering your mail and packages throughout the current pandemic. We are proud of our role in providing an essential service to every community. The one constant throughout this crisis has been our commitment to fulfilling the vital mission of the Postal Service.

We would like to share the following information and requests:

USPS wants to help keep you — and our employees — safe. We ask for you to maintain a safe distance at all times. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends keeping a distance of six feet or more between other individuals. Please allow a safe distance between you and your letter carrier or post office clerk while they are performing their duties.

We know it is a challenge to find ways to connect with family and friends at this time. Please remember anything without postage and not related to USPS business should not be placed in mailboxes.

It is important to note the CDC, the World Health Organization and the U.S. Surgeon General have all said there is very low risk that this virus is being spread through mail.

Our mission to bind the nation together is achieved through the tireless efforts and sacrifices of our dedicated employees. The outpouring of support you have shown has had a great impact on everyone at the Postal Service. Knowing how much you care means everything to us. On behalf of all employees at the Morgantown Post Office — thank you.

Coronavirus a common enemy we must fight

Where are we as a nation? Most of us are individuals who love our God and country. All the people I have known and worked with want our freedom and strive to provide our families and friends with a better life than our own. When I look at the leaders of America, I expect and demand that their decisions are in the best interest of all people. Those people who try to destroy our democracy will do everything in their power to turn us against each other. There are no perfect people on earth that can please everyone. As the Bible lets you know, even Adam and Eve had their problems with the first bite of the apple.

Our country is again in a crisis with a new evil coronavirus that can be defeated with the cooperation of all the people. I have complete trust in our leadership and health officials that they are doing everything in their power to return our everyday lives back to normal.

What is happening in the world is unprecedented and the long-term impact of the actions being taken won’t be known for years. I do know that for America to survive, we must keep our manufacturing independence safe from global influence and interference. Thanks to the president, vice president and health care doctors for their professional advice and services in keeping us informed and safe.

President Trump can’t be blamed for coronavirus

I am sick and tired of people blaming President Trump for things beyond his control. People are saying the president should have seen the coronavirus coming and should have been better prepared to handle this crisis.
I see it on Facebook every day that there are people all over America blaming the president for the coronavirus, and they are all wrong.
The president has looked out for America and its people, standing up to other countries and stopping them from taking advantage of America. He has created jobs and has industries moving back to our country. He is also trying to stop all illegal immigrants from entering our country.
We all should pray to God to help our president to continue to do the best job that he can and stand behind our president. Pray that we come through this crisis and our country will return to near normal. Quit blaming the president for things when he didn’t know about what was going to happen. God bless our president and our country.
