Unseasonable weather

Monday proved unseasonably warm, with temperatures reaching roughly 20 degrees higher than the average for this time of year.

Carl Erickson, AccuWeather senior meteorologist, said area residents can expect the mild weather to continue — though it won’t be quite as balmy the rest of the week.

He anticipates a high of about 60 today, but there could be rain this morning.

“It will be about 10 degrees cooler,” he said.

Wednesday, there may be an afternoon shower, but it will be rain-free much of the day, sitting around the mid-50s — still about five degrees higher than average.

“It will warm back up Thursday, getting into the mid-60s,” Erickson said.

By Friday, there may be a little morning rain, with highs reaching almost 60.

“Overall, the theme is that it’s going to stay above average, temperature-wise, through the end of the week,” Erickson said.
