Local student receives Masonic scholarship from N.Y. Lodge

Katherine Henneberger of Morgantown was   awarded a 2019 scholarship from the Grand Lodge and Trustees of Free and Accepted Masons of the State of New York. This is the fourth year Katherine has received the Grand Lodge award.

The scholarship program, established in 1996, is directed at the children, grandchildren and widows of Master Masons belonging to Lodges within the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of the State of New York. Grants totaling over $500,000 are awarded annually to qualifying students, based on their academic achievement, community involvement and financial need.

Katherine is a senior at Bowdoin College, majoring in mathematics and Hispanic studies.

She is a daughter of Linda Durfee and Paul Henneberger of Morgantown and a 2016 graduate of Morgantown High School.
