No updates on injuries to West Virginia’s Alec Sinkfield and Jovani Haskins

West Virginia coach Dana Holgorsen had nothing to report on the injury status of redshirt freshman running back Alec Sinkfield or sophomore tight end Jovani Haskins.

Sinkfield has been out since being carted off the field against Youngstown State with a lower leg injury. Haskins left the Kansas State game after a blow near the head from Wildcats safety Eli Walker.

Holgorsen, who meets with the media on Tuesday afternoon, said he wouldn’t know about the status until the Mountaineers took the practice field later in the day.

Sinkfield is one of four West Virginia running backs sharing carries this season. He has six rushes for 28 yards and a touchdown.

Haskins, a transfer from Miami, provides the Mountaineers with a more capable receiving option at tight end. He’s made a catch in each of WVU’s first three games, including the career-long 15-yard reception on which he was injured.
