Brenda Kay Chisler, 75, of Westover, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026. She was born July 4, 1950, in Morgantown, and lived a life marked by devotion to her family, steady work, and the quiet kindness that touched all who knew her.
Brenda was the beloved daughter of the late Robert and Evelyn Bolyard Morgan. She was also preceded in death by her son, Michael Shawn Sochko; and her brother, Robert R. Morgan. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life, and she carried herself with the strength and grace that so often comes from a deep love of family and a lifetime of shared memories.
She is survived by her daughter, Marcie Hart of Westover; grandchildren, Shawn Sochko and Tia, Chelsea Billie and husband Joseph, and Thomas Rodenish and Elyse; and her great- grandchildren, Lauren, Lyndsey, Liam and Raelynn. She is also survived by her sister, Rosemary DeWalt of Ohio; along with many extended family members and friends, who will cherish her memory and the many ways she enriched their lives.
Brenda dedicated more than 44 years of her life to Mylan Pharmaceuticals, where she worked faithfully until her retirement. Her long career reflected her strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to doing her best each day. She was respected by those who worked alongside her and took pride in the years she spent contributing to the company and building lasting relationships with coworkers and friends.
Above all else, Brenda enjoyed spending time with her family. Those moments brought her the greatest joy, and she treasured the laughter, conversations, and simple gatherings that made up a life well lived. Her family was the center of her world, and she found happiness in being present for the people she loved most.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Overflow Church for all of the love and support shown to Brenda and her family in her time of need.
Family and friends are invited to gather in McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover, Monday, June 15, from 10 until the funeral service begins at 11 a.m. Following the service, Brenda will be entombed in Beverly Hills Mausoleum.
