WHEELING — Quintin Smith led Morgantown High offensively, hitting two doubles and a home run with two RBIs in Wednesday’s game against Linsly.
The Mohigans led just 4-2 after six innings, but exploded in the top half of the final inning to take a commanding 12-2 lead. Linsly scored one more run in the bottom half to make it 12-3.
Caleb Taylor and Preston each finished the game with two hits and three RBIs.
Ethan Smith got the win for Morgantown, pitching five innings and allowing one earned run on just two hits and tallying eight strikeouts.
The Mohigans (9-2) will play again at 5 p.m. Friday against Wheeling Park.
