Don’t forget your pets, children are in backseat

Ralph Correll, Morgantown
There is no excuse, no excuse whatsoever, to leave a child or a pet in a hot car. If you are going to visit someone in a hospital, then why in heaven’s name would you take your dog with you and then leave it in a hot car?
How can anyone who has a child with them when they leave home forget their child in a car? My wife and I raised two children and not once did we ever forget our children were with us when we left home.
Please pay attention when you leave home with a child or pet. Put you purse or your laptop on the back seat so when you leave the car you have to open the back door.
Then you surely will see you child or your pet. I could not begin to know what suffering these children or pets endured before they died in those hot cars. So, please know where your children and pets are when you leave home.
