Mary Catherine Williamson, 90, of Granville, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026, in her home, surrounded by her family. She was born June 13, 1936, in Morgantown, and lived a life marked by devotion, kindness, and love for those around her.
Mary was the daughter of the late Robert Clawges and Madeline Taylor Clawges. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Clawges, Arthur “Jack” Clawges, John Clawges, and Walter “Bud” Clawges.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kent Lee Williamson; her daughters, Karen Floyd and husband Neal, and Kelli Gatian and husband Jim; and her sons, Kent Williamson, Jr. and wife Sherri, Kevin Williamson and wife Denise, and Kermit Williamson and Tina.
Mary was a cherished grandmother to Jimmy, Kevin, Kermit, Kent, Katie, Maraya, Chris, Chase, and Matthew; and she was blessed with 12 great-grandchildren, who brought her great joy. Her family was the center of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them. She was known for her loving nature and kind spirit, and those qualities were reflected in the way she cared for her family and all who knew her.
For 28 years, Mary served as a school cook for Riverside Junior High School. She took great pride in her work and in the many children she fed over the years. Her warm presence and steady dedication made her a familiar and appreciated part of the school community. She approached her work with the same care and compassion that she brought to every part of her life.
Mary was a lifelong member of Granville United Methodist Church, where her faith remained an important part of her life. She was also a lifelong member of the Canasta Club, and she enjoyed the fellowship and friendship that came with those gatherings. In addition, she was a member of the West Side Senior Center and the Red Hat Society, where she found companionship, laughter, and many lasting memories.

Friends may gather in McCulla Funeral Home Thursday, July 30, from 10 until 11 a.m., the time of Mary’s funeral service, with Pastor Matt Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery.
