Kenna Lynn Baliker Drosky

Kenna Lynn Baliker Drosky, 78, of Boca Raton, Florida passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family she loved so dearly on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
Kenna was born in Morgantown on March 18, 1948, to the late Harry Baliker and Lorinda Croston Baliker. She grew up in Morgantown, where her love of music and dancing began.
She graduated from University High School and started her career as a legal assistant where she would meet Norman Drosky who, as an IBM technician, came to repair her typewriter. They were married on November 2, 1968 and would spend the next 57 years together. During their early years of love and adventure, Norman’s work would take Kenna and family to Huntington and Austin, Texas, before eventually settling in Boca Raton, Florida, where Kenna poured herself into her family and the life they built together.
Kenna worked as an Administrative Assistant at Boca Raton Community High School for 35 years, where generations of students and staff knew her as the steady, familiar voice of the morning announcements, the “Voice of Boca High.” But she was far more than a voice over the loudspeaker. She was a constant presence in the front office—the one people relied on, the one who knew everyone, and the one who quietly kept things running. She offered a kind word, a listening ear, and a calm steadiness that made people feel at ease.
But her truest work, and the role she cherished most, was caring for her family. She was the one who showed up, held everything together, and made it all feel easy. Not through grand gestures, but through a lifetime of small, faithful acts of love. She would drop anything, without hesitation, if one of her boys needed her. She didn’t just love her family—she lived for them.
Kenna’s joys were simple and sincere, and deeply felt. Music always filled her home and lifted her spirit. An episode of The Golden Girls or Schitt’s Creek often was playing on the television. A Dunkin’ coffee in hand was a daily ritual, and sparkling water was non-negotiable. She delighted in shopping and finding a deal or bargain was considered a true victory. Her mug collection was a reflection of that same simple joy—colorful, ever-growing, and just plain fun. Kenna found her greatest joy in staying close to the people she loved—whether at home, where laughter filled the room over a spirited game of Scattergories, or through phone calls that stretched from everyday updates to life’s bigger moments, always making sure you felt cared for, no matter the distance. Kenna immersed herself in her son Todd’s successful campaigns for political office and played a pivotal role throughout the years. Most importantly, Kenna’s love for her grandchildren was profound, as she looked forward to every visit with a huge smile and a glowing heart.
Her legacy is not only in the life she lived, but in the way she loved—fiercely, selflessly, and definitely without condition. That love will continue in the family she held so close, and in the countless quiet ways they will carry her with them.
Kenna leaves behind her loving husband of 57 years, Sergeant Norman Paul Drosky; sons: Todd Drosky (partner, Averi) of Deerfield Beach, Florida and Jason Drosky (Shannon) of Charlotte, North Carolina. She is also survived by her three grandchildren: Mackenzie Drosky, Elsbeth Drosky and Wyatt Drosky; and sisters, Rhonda Johnson (Robert III) and Bonye (“Tina”) Duda; nieces: Ashlea Duda, Robyn (Johnson) Kozlowski and Amy (Johnson) Myrstic; nephews, Jeffrey Duda and Commander Patrick Thompson; and a host of extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Kenna was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Corporal John E. Duda.
Family and friends are invited to gather at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover, from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 29. Visitation will continue from 10 until the funeral service begins at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 30, with Kenna’s brother-in-law, Colonel Robert Johnson, III, officiating.
