With great sadness, the family of LeRoy Everett Jencks, a beacon of love and inspiration, announce his passing Tuesday, April 28, 2026, in Morgantown. He went home to be with his Lord at the age of 68.
Born December 16, 1957, in Morgantown, he was the son of the late Everett Milton Jencks and Frances Sherman Jencks.
LeRoy radiated life with a melody in his heart and a fishing rod in his hand, guiding those around him through life’s triumphs and tribulations with wisdom and compassion. His loved ones cherished him as a trusted advisor and pillar of strength.
As a salesman for RUS & Cintas, LeRoy earned respect for his unwavering dedication and genuine connection with customers, taking immense pride in his accomplishments.
Beyond his career, LeRoy’s passions shone brightly in music and fishing; he strummed his guitar, penned songs, and reeled in memories on the Monongahela River at Uffington. In the 1980s, he shared his love of music with friends as part of The Convertibles band, crafting moments that would be treasured forever.
LeRoy leaves behind a legacy of love and a family that adores him, including his wife, Kathy Jencks; his daughters, Michelle R. Hall and husband Chad of Morgantown, Paula Johnson and husband Joshua of Reedsville; grandchildren, Danica Johnson, Ledger Johnson, Gabriella Johnson, and Jacob McMillen; brother, Jonathan Jencks and wife Kathy; and nephew, Alex Jencks.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of his extraordinary life will be announced at a later date.
