Antoinetta Mascioli, 72, passed away unexpectedly while at work Wednesday, June 17, 2026.
Born January 13, 1954, in Morgantown, Antoinetta was a fiercely loyal fan of the West Virginia Mountaineers and remained proud of her West Virginia roots throughout her life. She graduated from Morgantown High School and had just celebrated her 55th class reunion with lifelong friends the weekend before her passing.
Antoinetta devoted more than 40 years of her life to the nursing profession, including the last 24 years as a registered nurse at Central Florida Regional Hospital (now HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital). She cared deeply for her patients and built lasting friendships with many of the people she worked alongside. Her compassion, steady presence, and sense of humor touched countless lives.
Antoinetta is survived by her children, Gregory Fyock and Stephanie Fyock; grandchildren, Alejandro Fyock, Bianca Fyock; her brother, Philip Mascioli; her sister, Loreta Mascioli; nephew, Jacob Lysick; and niece, Noelle Freiert.
Antoinetta lived life on her own terms. She loved to travel with her friends, cherished new experiences, and was always planning her next adventure.
She had a dry sense of humor that those who knew her came to love. She was the kind of person who told it like it was and didn’t sugarcoat the truth. People appreciated her honesty, authenticity, sense of humor, and deep loyalty.
A celebration of Antoinetta’s life will be held Friday, July 17, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Wekiva Island, 1014 Miami Springs Drive, Longwood, FL 32779. Family and friends are invited to gather to share stories, laugh together, and celebrate a life that was full of friendship, adventure, compassion, and love.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations to Shepherd’s Hope, a Central Florida nonprofit, where Antoinetta volunteered as a nurse, providing healthcare to uninsured members of the community. To donate, please visit www.shepherdshope.org
Antoinetta leaves behind a family, countless friends, grateful patients, and coworkers whose lives were better because they knew her. Though she is gone far too soon, her laughter, honesty, adventurous spirit, and unwavering love will continue to live on in the stories shared by all who knew her.
After a lifetime spent caring for others, may she now rest in peace.
