KINGWOOD — On Monday, the Preston County Board of Education recognized three outstanding employees.

Assistant superintendent Brad Martin said, “Mr. Brewer is an outstanding teacher and his students consistently demonstrate high achievement levels on the district and state testing initiatives and in academic competitions. Martin’s and Shahan’s path crossed when she worked at Fellowsville School and he was able to witness her outstanding work in person.

“She always demonstrates a calm, caring and patient demeanor in her work with her students. Paula is extremely hardworking, very deserving of this award,” Martin said.

Shahan said it was an honor and made a great birthday present.
