Barry Knotts

Barry R. Knotts, 55, passed away at home on April 2, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Preston County, to Hallie and Beverly (Weaver) Knotts.

Barry attended Rowlesburg High School and joined the work force immediately following graduation. He was most recently employed at Greer Limestone in Manheim.

He is survived by his wife and love of his life, Carla (Bolyard) Knotts, his stepchildren, Jeff Spier and wife Jennifer, Holly Jaggers and husband Alex, Nick Spier, and four step-grandchildren; his parents, Hallie and Beverly Knotts; a sister, Lisa (Knotts) Warnick and husband Jeff; uncles, Denzil Knotts (Roberta), Eugene Knotts (Janet), Linda Weaver, David Weaver (Jeannette) and Mary Jo Wine; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Archie and Lelah Knotts; maternal grandparents, Jack and Wanda Weaver; uncle, John Weaver; and aunt and uncle, Emma Jean and Richard Luzader.
Barry was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mud bogging, looking for mushrooms, “tinkering” in the garage, working outside, spending time with family and friends and helping others. He loved to drink Coke, rub Copenhagen and spend time with his faithful dogs, Gunner and Lucy.
He was an extremely loyal, loving and dedicated husband, stepfather, son, brother and friend.
He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Barry’s family would like to thank everybody that recently visited to reminisce with him. He thoroughly enjoyed sharing special memories with each of you.

The family would also like to thank WV Caring Hospice Care Corp.

Cremation services were provided by Browning Funeral Home. No public service will be held.
