John Allen Britton, 78, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday Feb. 21, 2021, at his home. The son of the late Howard J. and Josephine Zinn Britton, he was born on Aug. 9, 1942, in Morgantown.
John graduated from Morgantown High School, Class of 1960, and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served four years. After his honorable discharge from the Marines, John returned to Morgantown and met, then married, his wife of 54 years, Ellen Stuchell Britton, who survives him.

Jenkins Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, and again from noon on Friday until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating.
