Granville announces municipal election candidates

GRANVILLE – The city of Granville’s candidacy application period for the upcoming 2021 municipal election has closed.

The deadline for applications that were physically handed in at The Town of Granville Municipal Office was Jan. 30. Mail-in applications were to be postmarked by Jan. 30 as well.

 As of Thursday, there were 11 confirmed candidates of the 2021 Granville municipal election.

Granville’s current mayor, Patricia A. Lewis, will be running unopposed.

Granville’s current recorder, Mary Beth Renner, will also be running unopposed.

Four Granville Council members will be running for reelection to their current positions: David Bean, Patty Forbes, Ron Clark and Nicky Boyers.

There are five additional candidates for the five council seats up for election: Stan Rowe, Bobby Jo Wolfe, Chip Buzzo II, Steven M. Kovalcheck and Keith Pyles.

The Town of Granville’s municipal election is scheduled for June 8.
