
Frances “Frankie” Sue King, 83, of Mannington, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, Jan. 29, 2021, surrounded by her family who loved her very much. Frankie was born July 25, 1937, in Blairsville, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernie and Janie Brooks; a brother, Ronald David Brooks; a sister, June Tennant; and a nephew, Ronnie B. Moore Jr.
Frankie is survived by her husband of 37 years, Mack B. King; her daughter, Rebecca Hillberry Copeland (Junior), of Blacksville; her daughter, Rhonda Hillberry Rice, of Melbourne, Fla.; her son, Richard (Rick) Hillberry II, of Westover; her daughter, Richelle Hillberry, of Mannington; her stepson, Lynn King (Nancy), of Morgantown; her brother, Roger Brooks; sister, Phyllis Brooks; and a sister, Gerry Rowan, all of Pentress. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Frankie was Pentecostal by faith and loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus. She was a homemaker and enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, reading and had quite the green thumb.
Frankie’s family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Stonerise Morgantown for taking great care of Frankie the last 20 months. They also wish to thank WV Caring Hospice for their guidance, kindness and superior service the last few weeks.
