Stanley Bloniarz

Stanley “Stan” M. Bloniarz, 80, died on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020, at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, S.C. Born on March 8, 1940, in Star City, he was the son of the late Stanley J. and Margaret A. Bloniarz.

Stan lived a life of passion and adventure, enjoying flying, hunting, fishing and spending time working on improvements at his home on Lake Murray, S.C. He had a strong work ethic and a “do it yourself” mindset, believing that you always finish what you start and you always do things right the first time. He also had a creative side which allowed him to design building projects, learn new skills and even to successfully make and bottle wine for his family and friends to enjoy. He will be remembered as a go-getter who loved his family and lived life fully. Stan was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Morgantown Pilots’ Association.

He is survived by his wife and always present partner in adventure of 61 years, Janice Bloniarz; two daughters, Sheron Bloniarz and Cathy Bloniarz, both of Charlotte, N.C.; and a brother, David Bloniarz, of Star City. He was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Bloniarz.

A time of sharing memories will be hosted by the family at the Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, 2192 Bethel Church Road, Prosperity, S.C. from 2-4 p.m. Dec. 13 with the Rev. James Campbell presiding. Social distancing precautions will be observed.

Arrangements are under the care of Whitaker Funeral Home, Newberry.
