Willard Joe Helmick, 79, of Terra Alta, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020, at Stonerise Kingwood, formerly Pine Ridge Skilled Nursing Center, in Kingwood.
The son of the late William P. and Addie Joceal Hebb Helmick, he was born July 16, 1941, in Location (Tucker County).
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid Mountaineer fan.
He is survived by his wife Karen E. Helmick; a daughter, Krista (Mathew) Nazelrod; two sons, Kevin (Carla) Fike and Kenny Fike, all of Terra Alta; two brothers, Kenny Helmick, of Terra Alta, and Ronald Helmick, of Bruceton Mills; a sister, Virgie Browning, of Terra Alta; five grandchildren, Kurtis, Kyle and Kelvin Fike and Kendra and Lukas Nazelrod; and seven great-grandchildren, Korah, Kevin, Brycen, Wyatt, Drew, Kali and Meredith.
To honor his wishes, cremation services will be provided by Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home in Terra Alta.
