Patricia Williams

Patricia Ann King Williams, 77, of Morgantown, went to be with Jesus on Oct. 17, 2020, at Sundale Nursing Facility. She was born March 22, 1943, in Morgantown.

Pat enjoyed life as a homemaker, being outside and tending to her birds and flowers. She was a loving and caring person and brought joy to everyone who knew her. She loved her dog, Buddy, very much.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Wayne Williams, whom she married on Feb. 24, 1962.

She is survived by three daughters, Michelle Williams Carroll and husband Dave, Debra Williams and Traci Williams Morris, all of Morgantown. She has six grandchildren, Melissa Bourgeois and husband Patrick, Nathan Summers and wife Jennifer, Breanna Knight and husband Casey, Quentin and Brevin Morris and Julian Griffin, all of Morgantown. In addition, she has four great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter, Noah and Luke Bourgeois, Brayden Summers and Landon and Kallie Knight.

She is also survived by two sisters and one brother, Mary Frances King, of Winchester, Va., Ellen Pirlo and John King, of Morgantown. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Judith Williams Averett, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Gertrude King; her two brothers, Frederick King Jr. and Joseph King; her father-in-law, Dewey Williams; and her mother-in-law, Selma Champ Williams.

Her family would like to extend a special thank you to the following staff at Sundale Nursing Facility for her loving care — James Kirunda, Hydary Bossa, Frank Kiiza, Deb Jennings, Tina Aaron, Hadja Tounkara and Shelby Wise. Also, a special thank you to Dr. Carl Shrader, Donna Tennant and the administration staff, as well as Amedisys. Thanks to her friend and aide Sarah Fominko.

Memorial services will be at the Faith Christian Fellowship Church, 3855 Grafton Road, Morgantown, at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, with Pastor Jeff Anderson and the Rev. Melody Torralba officiating. There will be a dinner following the memorial service. Please follow social distancing and mask guidelines.
