Marissa Lin Clinkinbeard, 31, of Kingwood, formerly, of Greenville, Ind., died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020, in Louisville, Ky.

She was born on Dec. 19, 1988, in Seoul, South Korea and was the daughter of Alan and Kimberly (Reed) Clinkinbeard, of Kingwood.

Marissa was very active in gymnastics where she performed and coached in Indiana and Kentucky and won the State Championships in the fourth, fifth and sixth divisions. She loved being a mom, attending to her pets and was an avid Harry Potter fan.

In addition to her parents she is survived by her daughter, Gabrielle Elena Wheatley; two brothers, A. Luis Clinkinbeard, of Greenville, Ind. and Andy Clinkinbeard, of Providence R.I.; one sister, Alicia Ann Flett, of New Zealand; maternal grandparents, Neil and Jan Reed, of Kingwood; one sister-in-law, Amanda Clinkinbeard, of Louisville, Ky.; aunt and uncles, Marannne Fiorenza, of Salado, Texas, Stephen and Leny Reed, of Summerville, S.C., and Tammy and Jeff Sisler, of Kingwood; three cousins, Zack Sisler, of Carlisle, Pa., Ali Shreve, of Philippi, and Ethan Reed, of Summerville, S.C.; special friends, Eli Medcalf, of Greenville, Ind., Brian Saunders, of Kingwood, Damon Harbin, of Louisville, Ky., Janae Cox, of Morgantown, and the staff of Prime Thyme Restaurant.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Rusty Clinkinbeard, and paternal grandparents, Alan and Ruby Clinkinbeard.

Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel 295 South Price St. from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Jonathan Nettles officiating. Interment will follow at the Maplewood Cemetery in Kingwood. Social distancing and masks are requested.
