Joseph Gray

Joseph Parker Gray, 66, of Morgantown, passed away on May 25, 2020. He was born in Morgantown to the late Paul and Lucille LeFevers (Gray) Lawson.
Joe always had a passion for cars and motorcycles his whole life and was an expert mechanic. He was one to always crack jokes with his family and friends. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and brother. He loved his family with all his heart. Joe never knew a stranger and would go out of his way to help anyone.

Joe is survived by his wife of 29 years, Rosalee Gray; three biological children, Jody Gray, of Morgantown, Anndreea Wright and husband James Wright, of Morgantown, and Mirranda Shelott and husband Stephen, of Grafton; two stepchildren that he loved like his own, Richard Weaver, and Rachel Berkshire and husband Matt; grandchildren, Tyler Shorter, Areauna Shorter, Joseph Gray, Samantha Gray, Dustin Nicholson, Chase Nicholson, Isaiah Shelott, Brayden Shelott, Gabrielle Lemley and Gianna Wright; brothers, John and wife Rita, Paul Jr. and wife Barbara and Don and wife Percy; and sisters, Betty and husband John, Elaine and husband Donald, Teresea and husband Gerald, Marian and husband Eddy and Doris. He will be missed by so many clients and friends that he loved like family.

In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his two brothers, Bill and wife, Ida, and Bob; and one sister, Sharon.

Visitation with limitations will be held at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Thursday May 28. Visitors will be asked to social distance from one another, wear masks, and avoid contact with members of the family. Private funeral services will follow on Friday. Joe will be laid to rest at Pisgah Cemetery.
