Grafton/Gladesville car crash follow up

Police have not identified the person who was ejected in Wednesday’s crash at the intersection of Gladesville and Grafton roads and flown to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital by helicopter.

Monongalia County Sheriff Perry Palmer said the man did not have identification on him and they were not able to identify him through the car’s registration.

Palmer said he did not know the man’s condition at the hospital.

It appears the collision happened when the man, driving a Honda Accord, turned into the path of Maria Maggio, 28, of Morgantown, who was traveling north on Grafton Road, Palmer said.

Her Jeep Cherokee ended up in a ditch. She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, Palmer said.
