Mountaineer Country updates and resources during COVID-19

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Visit Mountaineer Country Convention and Visitors Bureau (VMCCVB) has shifted its communication strategy to serve its partners and community. Most recently, the organization released a video, “Brighter Days,” as a response to the public health crisis and citizens’ inability to travel for nonessential purposes.

VMCCVB is using its destination marketing infrastructure to act as leaders in the region by providing positive and uplifting messaging, as well as valuable information and resources, to its audience. The process began with the launch of a Mountaineer Country Community Resource Guide, ongoing social media and email newsletter efforts, and the creation of the popular Visit Mountaineer Country Social Distance Guide, which have been well received by future visitors and locals alike. The newly created COVID-19 video is an added compliment to the collection of resources VMCCVB has shared.

At the end of the day, VMCCVB’s top priority is to offer support wherever possible and prepare to welcome travelers back to Mountaineer Country, and it would not be possible to do so without the donated support generously provided by VMCCVB’s agency of record, BlaineTurner Advertising (BTA). VMCCVB will continue to be a resource that will be well poised to help us all get back to life in Mountaineer Country soon.
