Three charged in Company House Road burglary

KINGWOOD — Three people are charged with involvement in a burglary that occurred last month on Company House Road.

Keith Russell McCloud, 22, of Tunnelton, was charged with burglary, grand larceny and conspiracy. Kelvin Brett Shaffer, 59, of Tunnelton, and Marsha Jean Newlon, 34, of Tunnelton, were charged with conspiracy.

According to criminal complaints by Preston Deputy R.A. Stockett Jr., on Feb. 25 he investigated a burglary on Company House Road, Tunnelton. During the course of the investigation, McCloud confessed to having entered the home through the dog door at the rear of the house.

The officer found several of the stolen items where McCloud told him they were located.

McCloud said that Shaffer gave him and Newlon a ride to the residence they allegedly burglarized, according to the criminal complaint. Newlon stayed outside and took the stolen goods from McCloud and hid them in the woods, the criminal complaint says.

On Monday, Newlon was in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond. McCloud was in jail in lieu of $30,000 bond, and Shaffer was free on $15,000 bond.
