Sandra Armstrong

Sandra Kay “Sandy” Armstrong, affectionately known as “Noodles,” 65, of Reedsville, passed away Sunday evening, Jan. 19, 2020, at her residence with her family by her side.

Sandy was born June 10, 1954 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Robert E. Rodeheaver Sr., and the late Melva Eileen (Strawser) Rodeheaver.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Armstrong; her daughter, Kimberly Hendershot Wolfe, of Reedsville; her granddaughter, Grace Haley Wolfe; sisters, Linda Hanlin and husband Bob, and Betty Gatian and husband Chuck, all of Bruceton Mills; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert E. Rodeheaver Jr.

Sandy was a 1972 graduate of Morgantown High School and most recently worked at Chestnut Ridge Hospital as a registration specialist. She had also worked for The Dominion Post where she retired from the circulation department.

At Sandy’s request, she will be cremated.

Friends may join the family to honor her life and legacy at Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Ave., Westover/Morgantown from 4:00 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24 until the time of the memorial service at 6 p.m. officiated by Pastor Dan Meadows. Please dress casually if you will be attending the memorial gathering at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in Sandy’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 122 S. High St., Morgantown, WV 26501. If writing a check, please be sure to include “Making Strides” on your memo line.
