West Virginia wrestling team hits the road to face Oklahoma State

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The West Virginia wrestling team continues its three-match road trip by traveling to No. 9 Oklahoma State on Friday, in Stillwater, Okla.

Action is slated to begin at 8 p.m. at Gallagher-Iba Arena. Fans can follow along with the Mountaineers with the match’s live stream, courtesy of ESPN+. Live stats also are available at trackwrestling.com.

“This is a huge test for our squad,” WVU coach Tim Flynn said. “We’re looking for some consistency and aggression.”

Today marks the Mountaineers’ second Big 12 road match of the season and first since Nov. 16. WVU (3-6, 0-1) has never defeated Oklahoma State (5-1, 2-0), trailing 14-0 in the all-time series. Last season, the Cowboys topped West Virginia 40-3.

The Mountaineers are coming off a 36-3 loss to No. 4 Virginia Tech on Jan. 11. Redshirt sophomore Noah Adams claimed WVU’s lone win of the night.
