Morgantown Farmers Market hosts winter market at church

Those in search of fresh, local produce to help with their New Year’s resolutions may opt to head to the winter markets held by the Morgantown Farmers Market through April at Wesley United Methodist Church, 503 North High St.

The Saturday markets feature a variety of vendors, who offered everything from pasture-raised eggs and meat, to potatoes, greens and squash. In addition, shoppers can find handmade items, such as scarves and ornaments, as well as homemade desserts, jams and pepperoni rolls.

Future winter markets are set for 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Jan. 18, Feb. 1, Feb. 15, Feb. 29, March 14, March 28, April 11 and April 25.

Unlike the warmer-weather sessions, dog owners should note pooches are not allowed in the church gym.
