Melissa Jean Barone, 37, of Parkersburg, formerly of Kingwood, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2019, following a motorcycle accident.
Melissa was born May 23, 1982, in Morgantown, a daughter of Randy and Helen (Sigley) Reed, of Howesville.
She was a graduate of Preston High School and graduated from WVU with a Bachelor of Science degree in social work. She was the memory care coordinator and director of social services at Eagle Pointe in Parkersburg. Melissa was an original member of Shadow Riders of America.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 18 years, Jason Aaron Barone; one son, Aaron Joseph Barone at home; one daughter, Abbigale Nicole Barone at home; one brother, Duane Liston Jr.; father and mother-in-law, Sam and Rhonda Kelly; father and mother-in-law John and Kendra Barone; brother-in-law and spouse, John Mike and Lauren Barone; sister-in-law and spouse, Stefanie and Aaron Ashley; sister-in-law, Stevie Barone; and a special brother-in-law, Chase Barone.
Friends will be received at Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price St., from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, and from noon Sunday, Oct. 20, until the 2 p.m. funeral in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Joe Lamm officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
