West Virginia volleyball team travels to face Morehead State

MOREHEAD, Ky. — The West Virginia volleyball team travels for a nonconference matchup with Morehead State at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

“We had a good week on the road last week, and hopefully, we can take advantage of what we did well on in tomorrow night’s match,” fifth-year coach Reed Sunahara said. “There are still some things that we need to work on, and we talked about that as a group. We just have to make sure we take care of business and close out this road swing with a win.”

West Virginia (9-8, 1-4 Big 12) enters the match with an 8-4 mark in nonconference play and is 46-24 all-time in non-league matches under Sunahara.

The Mountaineers claimed their first Big 12 win of the season, going 1-1 in Big 12 action last week against Kansas State.

Morehead State (14-4, 5-1 OVC) has dropped games to Winthrop, Kansas, Arizona and Jacksonville State, but most recently claimed a four-set victory over conference foe Austin Peay.

Tuesday’s contest vs. Morehead State will be broadcasted live on ESPN+, with live video and stat links available on wvusports.com.
