Morgantown Police arrest man after gun shot on Snider St.

MORGANTOWN – At about 3 a.m. Oct. 10, officers of the Morgantown Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the 900 block of Snider Street.

When officers arrived, they found several shell casings and determined that the people responsible for the discharge of the weapon were inside of 917 Snider St. Officers secured the residence and obtained a search warrant for the premises. Following the execution of the search warrant, officers were able to recover a 9mm semi-automatic pistol along with live ammunition and additional spent casings.

During the search, officers found a bullet hole that indicated a round was fired through a closet wall and an interior wall, and lodged into a recliner inside the residence. As a result of the investigation, Blake Williams, 21, of Morgantown, was arrested without incident and charged with wanton endangerment. Williams is awaiting arraignment.
