Linda Sue Craig, 71, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019, after a short illness.
Linda was born in Uniontown, Pa., and called Morgantown home since 1987. She was a graduate of Career College and retired from the City of Morgantown’s finance department. After retirement, she worked for her very dear friend, Michelle Umble at Blue & Gold Graphics.

Linda was a most special gift from God to everyone she touched. Her love for everyone she met shone through immediately; and, everyone she met received one of her special hugs. Linda devoted her life to helping others and her energy for volunteering was unlimited.
Her volunteer efforts included Special Olympics, organized and called bingo at local nursing homes, annual toy drive, Business and Professional Women’s Club, Habitat for Humanity, Soroptimist Club, Christian Help Business Women’s Closet, American Cancer Society Relay for Life and she volunteered at the Old Stone House through the Service League.
She was a member of St. John University Church where she was the greeter at 8:30 a.m. Sunday mass, a member of the Parish Council, Kitchen Angels and Sarah’s Table. Linda also supported a number of these agencies by lending her incredible finance skills. She won the Community Star, a citation for public service, in 1999.

In addition to her extensive volunteering, Linda loved cooking and candy making, reading and sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and her Lady Mountaineers’ basketball team. She could be found every year at Christmas at the Barn, working on the Christmas lights and sharing her awesome candy.

Linda is survived by her sister, Mary Jane Piccolomini; sister-in-law, Barbara Craig; nephews, Vince (Karen) Piccolomini and Rocco Piccolomini; and great-nieces, Danica (Ethen) Steele and Paige Piccolomini. Linda is also survived by her beautiful and loving West Virginia “family” members.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Helen (Moyer) Craig-Cunningham; father, Charles Craig; sister, Lois Riggin; and brothers Charles Craig and Arthur Craig.

Friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover, from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11. A prayer vigil will be held at 7:30 p.m. to conclude the visitation. A mass to honor Linda’s life at St. John University Parish will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12. She will be laid to rest at Beverly Hills Memorial Garden, Morgantown.
