Nancy Rose Harvey

Nancy Rose Harvey, 78, of Cassville-Mount Morris Road, Morgantown, passed away Friday, Sept. 6, 2019, as the result of an automobile accident.
She was born Sept. 29, 1940, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Thomas Morris and Julia Mayor Morris.
She graduated from Morgantown High in 1958, attended WVU, and graduated from The Morgantown Business College. She had worked at Sterling Faucet Co. as a secretary.
Nancy was a long-term member of the Monongalia County CEOS and served as a 4-H leader for many years. She married James D. Harvey in 1963, and they then moved to the farm where they farmed and raised their family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She enjoyed farming, gardening, reading and tending to her flowers. Nancy was committed in her care of her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and were loved dearly. Nancy was always known for having a smile and a kind word.
Nancy is survived by two daughters, Mary Jane (Harvey) Kerns and husband, Wayne, of Morgantown, and Rose Ann (Harvey) Perroots and fiancée, Shane Haught, of Mount Morris, Pa.; one son, Paul Michael Harvey and wife, Karen, of Morgantown; grandchildren, Jesse Perroots, Michael Kerns, Katelyn Kerns and Lila Perroots; and two sisters, Cathy Shaffer and Jeanie Trovato.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Harvey in 2017.
Friends may call at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Morgantown, from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, and from 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, until the 11 a.m. funeral service with Pastor Rick Sharpless officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
