Johnny Snider Jr.

Johnny Snider Jr., 91, of Morgantown, passed away Friday, Sept. 6, 2019 at his home. He was born March 8, 1928 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Johnny Snider Sr. and Mary Sharp Snider.

Johnny had been employed in the construction industry as a bricklayer. He left a lasting legacy in Morgantown through his work on buildings all over town. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 71 years, Libby Lambert Snider, two daughters, Karen Scott and husband Craig of Odessa, Fla. and Nancy Snider and companion Frank Hupp of Morgantown, sisters, Patricia Manning, Mary Alice Feathers, and Carolyn Sue Walker, brothers, Frank Snider, Jerry Snider, and Fred Snider, grandchildren, Curtis Scott and spouse Kristin, and Elizabeth Scott and spouse Eric Gottloeb, step-grandchildren, Rhonda Hamilton, Sherri Hupp, and Franki Hupp, great-grandchild, Claude Scott and step great-grandchildren, Todd Ballard, Samantha Ballard and Jordan Hupp.

Johnny was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Snider, three sisters, Thelma Shaffer, Grace Watts, and Margaret Owen and three brothers, Harold Snider, David Snider, and Douglas Snider; and grandson, Christopher Scott.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society at 122 S High St, Morgantown, WV 26501.

Friends may call the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover, from 5-8 p.m. Monday and on Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. funeral service with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery.
