Harold Mayle

Harold Gordon Mayle, age 87, of Morgantown, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 31, 2019, at his home.  He was born January 29, 1932, in Kokomo, Ind.,  a son of the late Harold Emmert Mayle, and Claire Isabelle Collins Mayle.
Gordon was employed by Evans Products, in Michigan, for approximately 20 years.  He then retired from the Smart Transportation Company.  While living there he was a member of the Garden City Free Methodist Church, where he served as a longtime board member and adult Sunday school teacher.  After moving to Morgantown, Gordon was a member of the Living by Faith Church, in Brookhaven, where he had served as a board member and bible study teacher.
Gordon enjoyed the outdoors.  He loved raising flowers, vegetables, and landscaping.  He was fond of hunting and fishing both in Michigan and West Virginia.  He was a history buff, who loved to read about the Civil War and West Virginia history.  He also was a fan of NASCAR.
He was a loving husband and father, who was loved and will be deeply missed.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Barbara Brooks Mayle; two daughters, Cheri Skingley, of Morgantown and Cathy (Jerry) Gohl, of Garden City, Mich.; one son, Kent (Carole) Mayle, of Core; and one brother-in-law, John Vance Jr., of Morgantown.
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover, from 4 – 8 p.m. Monday, June 3,  and from 10 a.m. on Tuesday, until the 11 a.m. funeral service with Pastor Craig Falkenstine officiating.  Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery.
