Emma Lou Hewitt Wujcik

On May 2, 2019, Emma Lou Hewitt Wujcik was reunited with her husband Andrew W. Wujcik.
She was born on July 22, 1941, in Morgantown, to the late George Abraham and Leigh Grace Hewitt.
Emma graduated from UHS and worked at Sterling Faucet, a nurse at WVU hospital, a coal miner and many years as a farmer. Emma enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed quilting and volunteering at Retails by Mountaineer Spay Neuter Assistance Program (M-Snap). She was also a member of the Monongalia County CEOs and Quilters on the Run organizations.
Emma Lou is survived by her three daughters, Christine A. Riley and husband, Herbert D. Riley Jr., Eva Lee Simmons and husband, Edward J. Simmons and Kimberly E. White and husband, Walter “Pete” White; seven grandchildren, Herbert Dallas Riley III “Dallas,” Todd Michael Bolden Jr., Rachael A. Bigelow and husband, Micah M. Bigelow, Nicholas Aaron Riley and Courtney J. Porter, Joshua Garrett Taylor, Sierra Nicole Taylor and Alexis Earle and husband, Derick Earle; three great-grandchildren, Zayla Eileen Bigelow, Zephaniah Markeith Bigelow and Zakari Abel Bigelow; one sister, Linda Samsell; two brothers, George and Richard Hewitt; and her beloved dog, Cookie.
In addition to her parents, Emma Lou was preceded in death by her loving husband, Andrew Walter Wujcik; one sister, Effie Lambert; and her pug named Pugsley.
A gathering will be held for friends and family at Fred Jenkins Funeral Home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 9, with the Rev. Junius Lewis officiating.
