Morgantown track teams finish top 10 at OVAC championship

ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio — The Morgantown girls’ track team finished sixth in the OVAC championship with 1102 points. The boys finished ninth with 70 points.

Jusitce Washington finished second in the girls long jump.

Jayden Dooley finished third in the girls discus throw.

Anna Epps, Amelia Haddox, Athena Young and Lea Hatcher finished first in the girls 4×800 meter relay.

Angela Ejimofor finished third in the girls 100 meter hurdles.

Kelsey Riley, Elise Sizick, Kaicyaire Taylor and Ejimofor finished second in the girls 4×200 meter relay.

Hatcher and Young finished first and second in the girls 1600 meter run.

Riley, Sizick, Washington and Ejimofor finished second in the girls 4×100 meter relay.

Washington finished third in the girls 400 meter dash. She also finished third in the girls 200 meter dash.

Maggie Goodwin finished third in the girls 3200 meter run.

Megan Weaver, Epps, Young and Hatcher finished second in the girls 4×400 meter relay.

Hunter Finn finished second in the boys high jump.

Kaden Rice finished third in the boys long jump.

Landon Young finished third in the boys pole vault.

Brady Mudry, Xavier Adams, Jackson Core and Preston Core finished third in the boys 4×800 meter relay.

Nate Wimer, Aaron Alvarez, Kirk Black and Quin Thompson finished third in the boys 4×200 meter relay.

Brian Giles, Azim Turakhonov, Thompson and Black finished third in the boys 4×100 meter relay.

Turakhonov finished third in the boys 300 meter hurdles.

Cameron Johnson, Rice, Myka Anderson and Turakhonov finished second in the boys 4×110 meter shuttle hurdle.

University
The University girls’ track team finished 16th with 48 points. The boys finished 20th with 40 points.

Kendall Ours, Caroline Kirby, Emma Williams and Zoe Shetty finished second in the girls 4×800 meter relay.

Shetty finished third in the girls 1600 meter run.

Kirby finished first in the girls 800 meter run.

Hermione Vos finished first in the girls 3200 meter run.

Tommy Sherlock finished third in the boys shot put.

Larry Josh Edwards, Aidan Palmer, Rocco DeVincent and Gary Edwards finished first in the boys 4×800 meter relay.

Larry Josh Edwards finished second in the boys 1600 meter run.

DeVincent finished third in the boys 800 meter run.

Jordan Thomas finished second in the boys 3200 meter run.

Clay-Battelle
The Clay-Battelle girls finished 13th with 58 points. The boys finished 30th with 20.

Addison Ammons and Ashley Chisler finished first and second in the girls pole vault.

Ammons finished first in the girls 100 meter hurdles.

Hailey Carreon finished second in the 100 meter dash.

Jalynn Park, McKenna Kirby, Ammons and Carreon finished third in the girls 4×100 meter relay.

Carreon finished third in the 200 meter dash.

Carreon, Kirby, Shannon Statler and Ammons finished first in the 4×100 meter shuttle.

Nathan Swaniger finished first in the boys 100 meter dash. He also finished first in the boys 200 meter dash.

Trinity
The Trinity girls’ track team finished 24th with 32 points. The boys finished 36th with six points.

Reagan Sharp finished first in the girls long jump.

Kaylie Laskody finished first in the girls high jump. She also finished second in the girls 300 meter hurdles.
