Quinton Smith powers Morgantown past Langley (Va.)

MYRTLE BEACH — Quintin Smith homered and tripled and drove in four runs to lead Morgantown High past Langley (Va.), 13-4 on Thursday.
After going scoreless in the first inning, MHS (18-2) scored 10 runs over the next four, as the Mohigans pounded out 14 hits.
Caleb Taylor went 4 for 5 and Preston fox also drove in three runs.
It was more than enough for Ethan Smith and Carter Patrick, who split seven innings on the mound. Patrick picked up the win in relief. He scattered five hits over four scoreless innings.

MYRTLE BEACH — Casey Smith hit a three-run home run and the Hawks held off a ninth-inning rally by Hedgesville to hold on for the win.
Cameron Musgrave and Matt Renner each added two hits.
Smith also picked up the win on the mound. Jacob Spearen came on in the seventh to earn the save.
