Jessie Mae Turney

Jessie Mae Turney, 91, of Bruceton Mills, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019, at home.
The daughter of the late Albert and Cora Jeffreys Matthews, she was born Feb. 18, 1928, in Hazelton.
Mae was a member of the Shady Grove Church of the Brethren and retired from housekeeping at WVU Hospital.
She is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Judy and Bob Metheny, of Bruceton Mills, and Sandra and Greg Bennett, of Vienna, Va.; four grandchildren and spouses, Kevin and Tracy Metheny, of Bruceton Mills, Jason and Michelle Metheny, of Clarksburg, Chase and Christina Bennett and Stacy Bennett; six great-grand-children, Samantha, Aron, Samara, Torrie, Malisa and Ryan; two great-great-grandchildren, Paxton and Chase; a sister-in-law, Christine Matthews; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Turney; a son, Carl James Turney; and four brothers, Clarence, Floyd, Foster and Paul.
Family and friends may call at Carl R. Spear Funeral Home, in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, and from 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, until the 11 a.m. service with Pastor Nathan Goodin officiating.
Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery, in Bruceton Mills.
