Kenneth Stewart

Kenneth Edward Stewart, 74, of Mount Morris, Pa., died at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at Evergreen Assisted Living, in  Morgantown.
He was born Thursday, April 20, 1944, in Oil City, Pa., a son of the late Charles Francis Stewart and Grace Marie Eichenburger Stewart.  His stepfather, Shine Gump, also preceded him in death.
Mr. Stewart was a member of the James T. Maxon American Legion Post #992 of Mt. Morris and the Mt. Morris Sportsman’s Club.  He was a veteran, having served in the US Army.  He enjoyed farming and hunting.  Mr. Stewart was a coal miner, having worked at the Humphrey #7 Mine in Mt. Morris, Pa. retiring in 1999.
His wife,  Edna Jane Phillips Stewart, whom he married on November 28, 1964, survives.  Also surviving are one daughter,  Virginia and husband Randy Johnson, of Rockwood, Pa.;  one son,  David and wife Beth Stewart, of Fairview;  and three granddaughters,  Rebecca Johnson, Allison Johnson and Halee Stewart.
Friends will be received in the Milliken and Throckmorton FH, in  Mount Morris, Pa., from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7.   Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, in Mt. Morris, PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to a charity of ones choosing.
