Josephine Fox

Josephine Madge Fox, 97, of Lancaster, Va., passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, surrounded by God’s love and that of her family.
Jo was born in Osage, on Aug.  19, 1921, to Harry and Virginia Reel. She grew up in Mount Morris, Pa., where she met her husband of 66 years, Charles M. Fox Jr. better known as “Pop.”
Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 2007; both of her sons, Chuck, in 2003, and Joe, in 2010; her sister, June; and brother, Harry.
She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Lawrence and husband, Jeff, of Lancaster, Pa.; five grandchildren, Denise Patterson, of Canonsburg, Pa., Lori Cain (Paul), of Taylorsville, Ky., Charlie Fox (Chelsey), of Lancaster, Ted Fox and fiancé, Lauren Jefferson, of Moyock, N.C., and Amy Jo King (Aaron), of Morgantown. Jo is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and dear friends who knew and loved this gracious lady.
A celebration of life service for Jo and Charles will be held in the Spring at Bethel United Methodist Church, in Lively, Va., where they attended and were members for many years prior to moving back to Mount Morris. Burial will follow at  church cemetery.
