On Friday, October 12, 2018, Mrs. Velma Jean Slavensky, age, 70, went to Heaven on the wings of angels, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded by her family at her home in Maidsville.
Family will receive friends at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home from 3 – 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 15, and from noon on Tuesday, Oct. 16, until time of services at 1 p.m. with Pastors Kevin Cain and Wanda Brosky officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband Steve at the Bethel Cemetery.
