Janet Elaine Walker, 74, of Morgantown, passed away at WVU Medicine on October 9, 2018. Janet was born in Morgantown, on June 22, 1944, to the late Glen Burlin Starkey and Elizabeth Jean Isenhart Starkey.
Janet was retired from West Virginia University, where she worked in food service. In her spare time, she enjoyed camping and spending time with her family.
Janet is survived by her husband of 55 years, Richard Walker; daughter, Thresa Lingenfelter and her husband Thomas, of Bellefonte, Pa.; son, Rick Walker, of Morgantown; sister, Margaret Jean Smith, of Morgantown; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a cousin and best friend, Linda Paugh, of Morgantown; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made in Janet’s memory to the American Cancer Society, at 122 S High St. Morgantown, WV 26505.
Friends are invited to gather at McCulla Funeral Home from 5 – 8 p.m. on Friday, October 12, and from 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 13, until the 11 a.m. funeral service with Pastor Nathaniel Hudson officiating. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery.
