HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Clay-Battelle at Meadow Bridge, 7 p.m.

It’s funny what just one win can do.
Clay-Battelle pounded Hundred in a 61-0 victory last Friday’s opening matchup, and it has spurred a fair amount of energy in the Cee-Bees locker room.
“The team came Monday ready for practice,” Coach Ryan Wilson said. “It has been a hot week of practice but our team performed well and is ready for Friday.”
The Cee-Bees will need that energy as they endure a three-hour trek south to battle Meadow Bridge this week. The Wildcats return to action following a heartbreaking 23-22 loss to Van in Week 1, and will need to bring its ‘A-game’ against a C-B squad that tallied 435 yards in their opening week win.
