Herman Huggins

Herman Charles Huggins, 85, of Morgantown entered into eternal life on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at WVU Medicine. He was born January 16, 1933, in Cascade, Preston County,  to the late Harry and Olive Goodwin Huggins Krenosky.
He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and was employed by Summer’s Service Station for 10 years and Consol Coal Co. for 29 years; where he retired in 1994 as a Mechanic at Osage Mine. He enjoyed getting out in the woods to hunt, mowing grass, and landscaping.
Herman is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rosalene “Rose” Williams Huggins; two sons, Brian Huggins and his wife Tina, of Morgantown and Bradley Huggins and his wife Tricia, of Southport, N.C.; two brother, Edgar Huggins, Sr. and his wife Zeta, of S.C. and Robert Huggins, Sr. and his wife Lynn, of Fla.; three sisters, Delores Lucas, Joyce Taylor and her husband Lonnie, and Gloria Powroznik and her husband Joseph, all of Morgantown; six grandchildren, Zane, Ryder, Landon, Weston, all of Morgantown, Bridget of N.C., and Lydia, of Fla; one great-grandchild, Riley; his four legged friend, Daisy; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Herman was preceded in death by his sister, Lillian Cost; two brothers, Harlin “Chip” Huggins and Gail Huggins; and two grandchildren, Jordan and Abbigail.
Friends are invited to gather at McCulla Funeral Home from 4 – 8 p.m. on Friday, August 3, and from 10 – 11 a.m.  on Saturday, August 4, with the  funeral service to follow with Pastor Jeff Huggins officiating. Interment will follow at Nicholson Chapel Cemetery.
