Shirley Goff

Shirley Marie Jones Goff, 82, of Newburg,  passed away on July 31, 2018, at Mon Health Medical Center, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Lagonda, Pa. on December 15, 1935, daughter of the late Albert Bidwell and Rose Marie Piper Jones.
Shirley was a homemaker, she loved her family, especially her grandkids, puzzles, and her soap operas. Everyone loved her famous noodles and light rolls, and her professional weed eater. She gave loving care to many in need, everybody’s Aunt Shirley, she loved holidays, Pepsi,  shopping and attended concerts. She was a dedicated member of Shay’s Chapel United Methodist Church for many years.
Shirley is survived by two children, Tammy Goff, Sheldon Matthew Goff and wife, Angela, all of Newburg; eight grandchildren, Colton Goff, Zane Casteel, Madison Goff, Payton Casteel, Emily Casteel, Savannah Goff, Kyndal Goff, Brody Goff; three brothers, Robert Paul Jones and Wallace Richard Jones, both of Lancaster, Pa., James Thomas Jones, of Newburg; two sisters, Linda Lou Sisler and husband, William (Buck), of Newburg, Yvonne Emily Jones, of  Lancaster, Pa., like a brother, Carl Goff; daughter-in-law, Kelly Goff Mitchell; best friend of many years, William Harold Gibson;  and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Williams Goff; one son, Charles Richard Goff; three brothers, Donald LeRoy Jones, Albert Lee Jones, Charles Leonard Jones; one sister, Eleanor Louise Puskar; father-in-law, Hazel and Bertha Goff; sisters and brother-in-law, Irene and Harry Nichols, Bernice and Dave Goughenour, Clyde (Governor) and Nona Bolyard, Tennis and Phyllis Goff, and Donna Goff.
Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home in Newburg,  from 2 – 8 p.m. on  Thursday, August 2,  and from 9 – 11 a.m. on Friday, August 3, with the service to follow  with  Pastor Carl Trickett officiating. Interment will follow at the Shay Chapel Cemetery.
