Kingwood Police investigate egg-throwing incidents

KINGWOOD — Police are investigating incidents of eggs being thrown at parked cars in Preston County.
Kingwood Police Chief Charlie Haney said Tuesday that his department has received three to four reports of eggs being broken on cars. About three to four vehicles were hit in each incident.
The vandalism was reported on Pierce, Price and Hartman Streets. On Facebook, Oak Street and Wooddale residents also complained of eggs on their vehicles. Haney said all those are in the same area and not all incidents may have been reported to police.
“In the next week or so we should see some evening patrols,” by town officers, he said, which he hopes will stop the vandalism.
Based on when residents who filed reports parked their cars and found the damage, Haney said it could be occurring late at night or early in the morning.
Anyone with information about the Kingwood incidents is asked to call police at 304-329-1225.
Reedsville Police also received at least one report of eggs thrown. No further information was available about that in time for this report.
