Helen Gertrude Feather Bragg, 91, of Kingwood, passed away on Friday June 29, 2018, at Oakland Nursing and Rehabilitation in Oakland, Md. She was born December 26, 1926, in Preston County, daughter of the late Dale Ridenour and Mary Helen Shroyer Roby.
She graduated from Newburg High School, Class of 1944, where she was Valedictorian. Helen was a waitress/cook and clerk for many years. She was a member of the Newburg United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many.
She is survived by her son, Denzil “Danny” Conley Feather, of Cumberland, Md.; one grandson, Terry Lyn Uphold Jr; five great- grandchildren, Dalton, Damien, Shyanna Uphold, Mikey and Ralynn Thomas; one great-great-grandchild on the way; one brother, Richard Robey and wife Carol, of Secretary, Md.; one sister, Sue Pell, Tucson, of Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Debra Uphold in 2011; one grandson, Lyn Uphold in 2003; one sister, Betty Jean Kreling in 2018.
Family and friends may call at Browning Funeral Home, in Kingwood, from 3-8 p.m., on Monday, July 2 and at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, for the funeral services with Pastor Justin Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Mt Zion Cemetery, Marquess.
